The Valleys
Whilst the mines and tips that once scarred this area are long
gone their legacy and memory remain with tours of former coal mines
at Big Pit Naitonal Coal Museum and Rhondda Heritage Park.
Cyfarthfa Castle is an impressive museum and gallery telling the
story of the area. Don't miss Caerphilly Castle, the second
biggest in the UK.
The area is great for walking and cycling with Cwmcarn Forest's
two mountain biking trails being amongst the best and most
challenging in the world.
